How Ezetimibe Works
Ezetimibe is the active medicinal ingredient found in Zetia; this medication is used to lower cholesterol. Ezetimibe works by decreasing the body’s ability to absorb cholesterol and unlike “statins” Ezetimibe works in the digestive tract rather than the liver.
