How Tetralysal Works
Tetralysal (Lymecycline) is a tetracycline antibiotic used to treat various types of bacterial infections, including chest and sinus infections, sexually transmitted infections, and infections in or around the mouth. It can also be used to treat acne. Tetralysal works by binding to parts of the bacteria cells and inhibiting the protein synthesis of the bacteria. Protein synthesis is the process that all cells use to make proteins, which are responsible for all cell structures and functions. By interrupting this process, Tetralysal blocks the cells from functioning properly, and in turn effectively kills the bacteria.
